Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery
Plastic and aesthetic surgery covers procedures that aim to bring the face and body into better balance and proportion. Rhinoplasty, liposuction, tummy tuck, breast surgery, face and neck lifts and eyelid surgery are among the most commonly requested. Each procedure is planned around your anatomy, skin quality and general health, with realistic goals agreed with your surgeon before any decision is made.
Aesthetic surgery deserves a considered decision. Results vary from person to person, and the final appearance emerges gradually over several months as swelling settles and tissues heal. As with any operation, there are risks, including infection, bleeding, visible scarring, asymmetry or the need for a revision procedure. That is why it matters to discuss your expectations and the possible risks frankly with your surgeon beforehand.
Türkiye is a frequent choice for aesthetic surgery thanks to its experienced specialist surgeons, modern, well-equipped hospitals and services organised around international patients. At Trend Link we coordinate the whole process, from reviewing your photos and reports and arranging your consultation to your hotel, transfers and follow-up appointments. Your final treatment plan is always set by the licensed surgeon who examines you.
Techniques & options
Rhinoplasty
Reshapes the nose to improve its size, shape and harmony with the face. Where needed, structural problems affecting breathing can be addressed in the same operation. Your surgeon chooses an open or closed technique based on your assessment.
Liposuction and VASER liposuction
Removes stubborn localised fat that has not responded to diet and exercise, using fine cannulas. With VASER, ultrasound energy is used to loosen fat first. Liposuction is a body-contouring procedure, not a weight-loss method.
Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty)
Removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen and, where needed, repairs separated abdominal muscles. It is often considered after pregnancy or significant weight loss has left loose skin.
Breast aesthetics
Includes breast augmentation, reduction and lift. The aim is a result in proportion with your figure; the technique and, where relevant, the implant type are chosen with your surgeon according to your anatomy.
Face and neck lift
Lifts and repositions sagging facial and neck tissues from the deeper layers. The goal is a refreshed, natural-looking result rather than an overdone or tight appearance.
Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty)
Corrects excess skin and fat bags in the upper and/or lower eyelids. Where heavy upper lids narrow the field of vision, this can also be improved.
Is it right for you?
- Adults in good general health with no condition that rules out surgery
- People whose weight has been stable for some time, ideally close to their target
- Those with realistic expectations who understand the possible risks
- People able to stop smoking for the period their surgeon advises before and after surgery
- Those whose chronic conditions, such as diabetes or high blood pressure, are well controlled
- People able to follow rest and follow-up advice during recovery
Recovery timeline
Days 1–3
Pain, swelling and bruising are at their most noticeable and are managed with prescribed medication. Depending on the procedure, you may stay one night in hospital.
Week 1
Your first check-up usually takes place, and stitches, a nasal splint or drains may be removed. Gentle walking is encouraged; strenuous activity is avoided.
Weeks 2–6
Most people return to desk-based work. Compression garments or a support bra are usually still worn, and exercise and heavy lifting wait until your surgeon approves.
Months 3–12
Residual swelling continues to fade, scars begin to soften and tissues settle. The final result becomes clear over several months to a year, depending on the procedure.

Frequently asked questions
Is aesthetic surgery painful?
The operation is performed under anaesthesia, so you will not feel pain during the procedure. Afterwards, you can expect some pain, tightness and tenderness, which vary by procedure and are usually well controlled with prescribed painkillers. For most people the discomfort eases noticeably within the first week.
When will I see the results?
Some change is visible straight after surgery, but swelling and bruising mean this is not the final appearance. Most swelling settles within a few weeks. The final result depends on the procedure; after rhinoplasty, for example, it can take up to a year.
What are the risks of aesthetic surgery?
As with any surgery, risks include infection, bleeding, wound-healing problems, noticeable scarring, asymmetry, changes in sensation and risks related to anaesthesia. Occasionally a revision procedure may be needed. Your surgeon will explain the risks specific to you before surgery, and stopping smoking and following aftercare advice help to reduce them.
Am I a suitable candidate?
Suitability depends on your age, general health, weight, skin quality and expectations. The photos and reports you send are used for an initial assessment, but the final decision is made by your surgeon after an in-person examination and any necessary tests. In some cases the surgeon may recommend postponing surgery or a different approach.
How long do I need to stay in Türkiye?
It varies by procedure, but a stay of around 5–10 days is usually recommended. This covers your consultation, surgery, the first days of rest and early check-ups such as stitch or splint removal. If several procedures are combined, your surgeon may advise a longer stay.
How is follow-up handled once I am home?
We stay in touch through your patient coordinator after you return, passing your recovery photos and questions on to your surgeon. Remote check-ins can be arranged at the intervals your surgeon recommends. If anything unexpected arises, we also advise you to see a local doctor promptly.
